What A Year It Has Been!

Shame on me for neglecting this blog! I am torn between closing it down or promoting it for growth. I post regularly on cheekyroseboutique.blogspot.com  so feel free to follow me there. God is constantly making me over and I am growing spiritually in spite of life's many challenges. I continue to deal with the effects of  PTSD everyday all day. I continue in prayer and in my bible studies because I know that is where my strength to continue living comes from, no doubt! I know that Jesus loves me and has plans for me to be with Him in eternal life and that my purpose for being here is within the confines of His infinite wisdom no matter how complex this present life appears to be. I encourage everyone to trust in Him and know that He will never leave His children without hope or help. Trust in Him!!

Christian What??????????

I was reading an article in Charisma online magazine and have been noticing of late the deviation away from real biblical truths. I posted this response here!!   No wonder the negative affect on myself and so many others! It's depressing!!!

This news source is becoming a modern day representative of the new testament Pharisees and Sadducees. If Christ were in the flesh today, he would come in with a whip and beat sense into a whole mass of "Christians". The raw lies as well as the implied untruths that flow ad nauseam from the so called "right" is extraordinary! There is very little that is "right" about what is being presented these days to the world and to our children. I am embarrassed for and appalled at what is being sold as representation of biblical Christian principles. Father God help us to repent and turn from our wicked ways and heal our land. This is our only hope.

My Other Therapist

My only sister is Dee who lives in Rockford, IL. She is 2 years younger than I  and when I get almost rock bottom I call her. I believe she is the only person in the world that can get a real laugh out of me when I am lower than a snakes' belly. It must be because she is my spiritual sister as well as my biological sister. My parents had 4 boys and 2 girls so that causes us to be closer than usual. I know she prays frequently for me  and knows me probably better than anyone, even my lovely husband Reggie. I thank God for these 2 persons in my life because they recognize that my diagnoses does not make me "crazy". Others in my family have been known to use that term for me and not in a lovingly jokingly way.

People don't get it. I didn't get it even though I worked as a mental health nurse for a lot of my nursing career. It wasn't until I sat on the other side of the desk as a patient and not a health professional that I "got it". I use to hop in my car and drive 700 plus miles by myself in a heartbeat. Now it's been almost 3 years since I have driven on an expressway. I can barely drive up the street without having anxiety bordering on panic attacks. The longer I can't drive the harder it is for me to try. My husband doesn't allow me to go anywhere by myself. God my head is hurting. I feel nauseous. I don't know what to do with myself today. I tried to lay down and couldn't. I tried to watch TV and couldn't. I couldn't read or work on any crafts or anything today. Thank God for spell-check, otherwise this post  would be full of errors.

I will continue to believe for healing until I die. I have to have hope. Thank God for my doctors, therapists and meds. Later, Jan

I wonder if I feel "blue" because it's 9/11? I doubt it.

Come Let Us Reason Together

This is my prayer of faith for healing from depression, panic attacks, anxiety, hypertension and abnormal kidney function tests. And just in case I missed anything it is all inclusive according to the word of God. I share this with all who desires healing for themselves or others.

“Heavenly Father, your Word declares that Jesus took my infirmities and bare away my sicknesses, and that by His stripes I was healed. It is your will to heal me, and it is my legal right as your child to possess it. I take authority over all sickness and disease in my body in the name of the Lord Jesus. I break all inherited generational curses of infirmities, and I command spirits of infirmity to come out of me now in the name of Jesus. Sickness and disease, leave my body in the name of Jesus. Spirits of oppression and depression I rebuke you as the Lord God  rebukes you! Father, I come boldly unto the throne of grace, and I take hold of your healing power. I thank you that your healing power is flowing into my body, healing me now! In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

By praying this prayer, you have released your faith, and healing is flowing into your body. Continue to pray this prayer until the healing is completely manifested. Don’t waver or doubt.

Scriptures To Build Faith For Healing and Deliverance

  14. “For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” (Psalm 84:11)
  15. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7) Be relentless!!

Much love and blessings, Jan

A Great Reminder

"Father, I want to thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Forgive me when I let fear and doubt take over my heart and mind instead of choosing to trust You. Give me eyes to see the treasure buried at the heart of every storm and help me to choose joy -- even when I don’t understand what You are doing in my life. Teach me, Lord. Let my life be an illustration of Your strength perfected in my weakness." ~ Mary Southerland
I was struggling today following a very emotionally exhaustive yesterday. I stayed home while my hubby went to visit my mom at her nursing home. I came across this prayer on facebook from  here
I hope this helps your day be better and brighter! Blessing, Jan

Thank You

To God Be The Glory! Thank you Teresa, Deborah Ann and Debbie! What a blessing you ladies are to me!
There is a song by a well known longtime gospel singer, Edwin Hawkins, that glorifies the Lord so sweetly. It is on my other blog with my music listings. It is called "To God Be The Glory"! Teresa as you so eloquently remind us that God is to be praised in all things no matter what!

Today is my sister's birthday and I give thanks to the Lord for her life! Happy birthday Sis!!! Teresa we have more in common than you know! I too weep before the Lord at the suffering and anguish of so many in the world today. Especially for the children! Lack, abuse, neglect, confusion, peer pressure, fear, hurt they are subject to so many atrocities! I have always told the Lord that somehow I want to be a blessing to the needy children and women as I can so relate to their sufferings! He led me to a gallery in Fort Myers that is owned by an organization that helps domestic violence women and children, the homeless and victims of human trafficking which is a big problem in the world and even here in S. Florida. Every piece of art sold gives 30% for the funding of the center. Once a year there is a huge auction event and the artists are asked to donate an item to be auctioned off. Perfect for me to be able to bless someone from the fruit of my hands. I pray to be able to  give more and more to this organization as we are blessed to be a blessing.

Stay well my friends and God's best to you all! Much love, Jan

A New Work In Me

This is almost a journaling type of post for me. I am so inconsistent with my posting and doll-making. It is due to my constant struggle with major depression, anxiety, and panic attacks. It wears me out to try and push myself to do things. I will have a period of time where I can produce but so much of the time it is a huge struggle! In spite of routine meds and therapies,  I have to fight my way out of a black hole, or struggle to prevent being dragged into this monster hole. Sometimes the suicidal thoughts plague me and it is if I am warring with a "HULK" sized entity. It really pisses me off because I am being robbed of so much living!  Thank God for Jesus and for my hubby! What would I do without them?

I used to be such a high functioning nurse, wife, mom, nana, daughter, sister, friend and child of God. I also deal with PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder from sexual abuse during my childhood. I was molested by a much older brother at ages 7-9 and by my eye doctor when I was 12. I wonder if people realized the damage they do to the lives of others with their abusive violations would it prevent so of it from happening? It is so destructive to the victims quality of life. One day I will elaborate on the effects of PTSD as a sexual abuse victim.

Many times it is difficult to even do my activities of daily living. Most days I spend in my pj's and usually need to push myself to wash up and dress. I watch a lot of TV because it takes very little effort to curl up in my favorite recliner with my "blanky". I t is difficult to be around a lot of people especially kids because they are so noisy!

Even my time with my grand-kids is severely limited because of my poor tolerance for noisy activity. The visits to my mom at the nursing home is my biggest sacrifice of effort. She's almost 92 with dementia and medical issues so we don't know how long she has with us. Visiting with her sometime gets on my 'nerves'. My hubby is so incredibly supportive and encouraging me to spend time with my mom. Sometimes he goes to see her without me and takes her special treats.

I feel that God is working somethings out in me and and it will be beneficial to document as I can. Maybe someone else will be blessed to know that they are not alone in these type of struggles. I pray a lot and read the bible. It helps! I watch Christian TV which is also beneficial. I very occasionally am able to attend a church service. Sometime I have to take an extra Ativan or 2 in order to travel to places especially where there will be a lot of people. It also makes me somewhat drowsy.  I shudder to think how I could try and cope without God and His word.

I try to focus on praying for others and being supportive via the internet. I believe that one day I will walk out into the other side of this bizarre place. Like Jesse Jackson says I must  "keep hope alive". Sometimes humor helps too! And yes, even born again Christians have these type of challenges! Love you!

Happy 4th Of July!

Let's remember to give God thanks for this country, our troops and their families for their tremendous sacrifices and our veterans!

God Bless America!

Glory And Praise To Our Triune God!!

I have been missing in action from this blog for too long. God is doing some amazing things in my
life lately for which I am humbly grateful. At the same time I have been challenged greatly in several areas
but as apostle Paul encourages us I "count it all joy". I am being stretched and pulled on the Master Potter's
wheel and am being purified through a "refiner's fire" and one day I will come out as "pure gold". As the Holy
Trinity surrounds me and fills me I am experiencing a great intimacy in my relationships with them.I pray for
you all and the whole world as we are instructed to do.  As I go from faith to faith and glory to glory I pray that
something I say or do draws others to the love of Christ. Stay prayerful and blessed!

There Are Mothers

In a perfect world Mother’s Day would be perfect and life would be uninterrupted and simple. But life as we know it is not always that way.
There are mothers whose children are incarcerated…We pray for them.
There are mothers who are incarcerated…We pray for them.
There are mothers who patiently wait for the return of their children from foreign lands as they protect our freedoms…We pray for them.
There are mothers who see their children return from war very different people…
We pray for them.
There are mothers who watch their adult children make choices that break their hearts…
We pray for them.
There are mothers who are victims of abuse…We pray for them.
There are mothers who have sent their children home to heaven…
We pray for them.
There are mothers whose tragic choices have separated them from their children…
We pray for them.
There are mothers who step in to become something every child deserves;
foster mothers…We pray for them.
There are mothers who did not bear the child that has stolen their hearts, adoptive mothers,
We pray for them.
There are mothers who sadly live on the streets…We pray for them.
There are mothers who have given their children up in hopes of a better life, longing to know they are safe…
We pray for them.
For Mothers…in all circumstances.
In a perfect world, it would be just that…perfect.
But life as we know is not perfect, that is for the eternal.
So this Mother’s Day, amidst all of the “sentimental verses” the women at the Cafe pray for the real mothers.
Living very real circumstances.
Very real lives.

Coming Up For A Breath Of Air!!!

Greetings, everyone and blessings from our gracious and merciful Father! Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers us from them all! I am coming out from  under a cloud of testing and tribulation, but thank the Father that He has not left me without help but with the Comforter/Holy Spirit!! My granddaughter was hospitalized for 2 weeks and several days after her release her mom was hospitalized for 7-8 days!

But look at God! I have went from being right at the edge of homelessness to the owner of a new home never lived in and with brand new appliances! All within the last 7-8 months!!!  A bit later I will elaborate on what a loving God and doer of miracles has been up to while the enemy has been a pain in my royal_ _ _!!!!!

For all those who are in need of or are desiring to own a home go to NSP.com in your county. There are federal monies available that will assist you with 20-50% of the cost of the house of your choice that you meet criteria for from their list of available homes. Study the criteria and in and outs of the program and you could be a homeowner in an average of 4-6 months. It is all 100%  legit and under governmental supervision. I gotta go but stay real and in God's presence!! Love, Jan

Calling All Prayer Warriors!

My 12 year old granddaughter A'keyla has been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks with pancreas and liver related issues. Pray for her healing and for the wisdom of the medical team in working with her. Pray for her peace of mind because she doesn't need to worry about missing school or any other thing. I've taught her to pray and she became a born again Christian at about 8 years of age.

Also keep her 8 year old brother Jonathan in prayer because due to a flawed court system his dad has had physical custody of him  for almost 4 years in Miami and he desperately wants to live with his mom and sister in Naples. I've also taught him to pray and he says he prays every day.

Pray for Nikki, the kids mom who has her plate full with all this and missing work. The plan is for me to go and relieve her at the St. Pete hospital and stay in the hospital room .

Lastly pray for yours truly to walk in the peace of God through all of the above and more! Not to forget that  God's got it!! Blessings! Jan

What Do You Believe About Death

A dear fellow artist and blogger has a recent post about death and dying. There were many comments in response to her post. Many of us as in some of her bloggers responses chose not to think about dying or death. As a 27 year nurse and a born again Christian I have dealt with the issue on many levels. I will copy and paste my response to her post and her link so that others may share in this issue.

"I'm glad you decided against deleting this post my friend! I will be 54 on May 20th and dealing with my 90 year old mom and visiting her in a Naples nursing home makes me think frequently of making the final transition. I use to fear death but as I've sought a closer relationship with Jesus Christ I am reminded of the scripture 2 Corinthians 5:8... "we are confident, I say, and pleased rather to be absent from the body and present with the Lord." I no longer fear death but rather am anxious to live this gift of life as fully and gloriously as possible. When I look back I am aware that I was more complacent than I should have been. My faith in God has EVERYTHING to do with my now being reassured. We are here Constance only for a moment! I pray to make a positive and helpful difference for others in the rest of my allotted time here. Hugs and Blessings, Jan

Love Is The Principle Thing!

Yesterday was celebrated by people the world over as a special day to honor specific loved ones.
Do we walk in love with the specific loved ones everyday? Do we kiss that person and curse that person with the same mouth? Let's strive for consistency in our love walk. "Father we pray to walk in love all day, every day even when we don't feel particularly loving. It should not be that we put on love and take it off like a piece of clothing. Teach us to love with Your kind of love. In Jesus' name, Amen!!"

What About The Children?

Today I was trying to work on some things and was aware of a very unsettled "feeling". I stopped for a moment and was aware that the Holy Spirit was entreating me to pray. As I continued tidying some things I started giving thanks to the Lord for many things we take for granted. Like the ability to make a bed, or sweep a floor. As I continued giving thanks my heart began to swell within me and the next thing I knew I was in praise and worship to my Father. Tears flowed and I began interceding for others. My loved ones, recent tragedies in the local and international news. Especially for the children. I wept for the children in Egypt and other places of upheaval and unrest. With all the craziness going on what are the little ones thinking?

I began to struggle with the knowledge that since the beginning of the human race children have been heirs to much of the wrongdoing by the adults in their lives. When Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed did the children die too? Were there children even living in these cities at the time of destruction? What about the children during the "flood" when all living creatures except for those in the ark perished?

When God ordered certain cities or areas destroyed and all the goods brought back to the camps and He instructed that everything and everybody be destroyed, what about the children?

I know that these questions will probably never be answered in this life but perhaps when God returns and I can see Him face to face, will I remember to ask about the children?

It's a Mad Mad World!

MIAMI, Fla.  Family, friends, and thousands of fellow police officers from across the state gathered Monday at a funeral service for two  Miami-Dade County police officers who lost their lives last week in the line of duty. The crowd packed the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami to honor 41-year-old Roger Castillo and 44-year-old Amanda Haworth, who were killed Thursday ,January 20th, 2011 while serving a warrant on a suspected killer.
The suspect, 22-year-old Johnny Simms, was killed by another officer.
.
The service fell on the same day that two St. Petersburg police officers were shot and killed while trying to arrest a man on a warrant for aggravated battery,  Monday, January 24th, 2011
The news that more of Florida's finest had been killed added to the grief for those already mourning Castillo and Haworth.

Pray for our  police officers who risk their lives everyday to protect our way of life and our lives. Pray for the families and loved ones of slain officers. Give if you can to benevolent funds for the children and spouses.

Father God we pray for the ones in place to protect and serve our communities, police, firemen, EMT's and all others who risk their lives everyday.  We pray for the blood of Jesus to cover them, that angels form a hedge of protection around them. We pray for the salvation of those who don't know You. We pray for the potential criminals who You love as You love all of us, that they hear the Good News according to Your gospel, and cease and desist from evil doing. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!!

See How Our Children Really Feel!

BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN   ARIZONA

N

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned.....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached

NEW School prayer:

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

If you aren't ashamed to do this,  Please pass this on..
Jesus said,  'If you are ashamed of me,  I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'

Trusting God

I have been in a very tight place, like in a holding pattern for airplanes that are flying around and around in a circle and can't land because the conditions are not favorable for landing. While I have been in this place I am fullly aware that the Father is working somethings out in me, changing me to look more like Jesus. The Holy Spirit is very present, helping me to seek the Lord and His Word and to meditate consistently before Him. My spiritual ear is being developed, fine tuned and I am becoming more sensitive the the voice of Father God. He is truly feeling more like a Father and not some far off twilight zone spooky being. God is real, He is a person and He relates to us in a more way real than any human being can relate. We have to seek walking daily in the spirit and to continually dwell in His presence.

Despite one of the most challenging times of my life, the whole of 2010 and moving into 2011 has been about letting go and letting God change me for the better. Not so much my circumstances but me. I am trusting Him more, loving more like Him, and my mind is being renewed by His Word. Love has been the principal thing He is developing in me, not a carnal love, but His divine unconditional love. I implore all to seek His presence with everything in you and seek to love as He does because He is love!!!

Pray for me as I pray for you to seek Him with all your heart.

The Whole Truth So Help Me God!

This blog is dedicated to what's really happening in this world today as I discern it from a biblical prospective. I do not by any means expect every one who stops by here to agree with me. Not my concern folks! I intend to focus on all the mess that has been and continues to take place on earth and in the heavenlies. I share this with the love of God that He has so generously implanted in me in the person of the Holy Spirit. Some may consider this "tough love" but if it is going to save lives and save souls then so be it!

There is a devil out there and most of us are in denial or deceived as to what the enemy (the devil and his demonic cohorts) of God and humanity are up to, just how much and how long  we who are made in the image of the Almighty God  will continue to believe a watered down version of the truth. Well as for me and my house, we have made a quality decision to believe the word of God from Genesis to Revelation. For the record I will not be involved in any arguments  concerning the Word of God, but will prayerfully request to my Father that His word is revealed to those who do not know the truth.

But I have good news! God loves us, He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins, to reconcile us back to Him our Creator. It is only for us to believe and receive the gift of salvation (the state of being saved or protected from harm, risk, etc). that is so freely offered to all of us. He wants us to be free from deception, from evil, from lack. The provision is there, we are only to receive what is so lovingly available. None of us have to be sick, frustrated, fearful or not having our  needs met. Father God promised to"supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus"(Philippians 4:19).

Be quick to repent(turn away from) of your sins ( any want of conformity unto or transgression of the law of God (I John 3:4; Romans 4:15), in the inward state and habit of the soul, as well as in the outward conduct of the life, whether by omission or commission  (Romans 6:12-17; 7:5-24). Find a church that teaches the unadulterated word of God. I recommend using a New King James Version bible and/or go here  to a great online bible site that has many translations  and study tools available. Spend time in quiet prayer(talking to and hearing from God, meditating on His Word).  Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Take time every day to be alone with God and you will be amazed at the changes that take place in you and your life. Be diligent to do this everyday . It is simple but requires consistency on your part to get to know God, who He is to you and who you are to Him. We are very important to Him and He loves us no matter what our condition. Don't wait, do it now, it is up to Him through the sending of the Holy Spirit to enter our hearts that will make us better. We have the responsibility of seeking to spend time with Him and with others who are faithful in seeking Him. Be blessed! I love you with the love of God. His best to you and yours.
